  • Meetings
Monthly meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm. Everyone is welcome; there are no dues, just show up. The meetings are held at 10225 Barnes Canyon Road, Suite A-102
San Diego, CA 92121. Plan to arrive around 6:30pm and enjoy pizza and soft drinks courtesy of our sponsors. Mingle with the other users until the actual meeting starts around 7:00pm.
  • Attendance
We encourage all SolidWorks users and potential SolidWorks users to attend these meetings. This user group is an independent organization of SolidWorks users in San Diego County. We are unique in the fact that we do not charge any monthly dues. The pizza, soft drinks, and the meeting site are provided by and paid for by sponsors.
  • Call for Presentations
If you would like to present your project, case study, or special technique to the group at a future meeting, please feel free to contact me. Everyone is interested in how others utilize SolidWorks. Show off your work, or demonstrate how you solved that problem and developed your product. It is the group participation that makes these meetings so interesting. Please contact Phil Sluder (see contact info above) with your topics. Even if you just have an idea for a presentation, we can help you develop it further.
  • Networking Session
Bring your business cards and exchange your information with the others in the group. Networking is a major benefit of a group like this.
  • Open Modeling Forum
Bring an example of a SW modeling problem and/or solution that you have discovered lately. If you’re having trouble, maybe others in the group will have a solution or work-around. Alternatively, share your solutions for the benefit of the entire group. This could get very interesting.
  • Employment Exchange
We have had numerous requests from individuals who have SolidWorks experience and are looking for engineering/design/drafting positions around San Diego, and from employers who are looking to fill positions with quality SolidWorks users. One function of this user group is to exchange this info between the users and the potential employers. Feel free to forward resumes, business cards, or job descriptions to me. Or you can bring your info to the meetings. We will make sure there is a table to place these items on at the meetings.
  • Email Notification
The San Diego SolidWorks User Group email list is open to anyone wishing to receive notice of upcoming meetings. We will try to send notice prior to each meeting, but even if you do not get a notice, please feel free to show up for the meeting. We sometimes do not have the extra time required to compile and mail the notices. Rest assured this email information will not be used for ANY other purpose.
